Brons & Salas has extensive experience in Electricity & Renewable Energy regulations.

Since 1992, when we participated in the design of a new regulatory system and also in the creation of Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A., we have been actively involved in the development of electric power regulations in connection with all market segments.

Brons & Salas has successfully advised private and public clients on matters related to generation, transmission and distribution in the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and also on issues involving its large users.

Our services include becoming involved in contractual, regulatory, litigation, tax, customs, commercial, investment and project financing, environmental and other issues, all of them related to the electricity sector. For such purpose, we combine our expertise in the industry with other practices of our Firm specialized in each of the areas mentioned above.

In recent years, the generation of electricity from renewable sources has become the sector’s rising star on which the expectations of the activity have been placed. Brons & Salas has been actively involved in this development, in particular, in the different stages of the RenovAr Program, through which the National Government has channeled this initiative.
