Gallego, María Luján

Bio

María Luján graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is a member of the Corporate Law, Litigation & Arbitration, Personal Data Protection and Medical & Pharmaceutical Law Practice groups. She joined the Firm in 1999.


Education

She received her LL.B. from the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1999. Furthermore, she took the following courses: “Institutional Framework of the Financial and Banking System” and “Legal and Operating Structure of the Credit Card System” at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. María Luján participated in the VIII Argentine Congress on Medical and Pharmaceutical Law – First NOA Congress on Health Professional Liability certified by the American Association of Legal Medicine and Health and in the VI National and International Seminar on Personal Data Protection.

Specialization

María Luján specializes in litigation, mediation and arbitration matters. She has been in charge of and participated in several matters involving complaints before Consumer Protection and Fair Trade authorities and the Ombudsman. She has gained experience in medical malpractice and laboratory liability actions. She specializes in general commercial litigation (termination of contracts, damages, bankers’ professional liability, enforcement proceedings, business agreements, among others). In the Corporate Law area, María Luján is part of a team of lawyers entirely dedicated to providing advice on general corporate matters to multinational companies doing business in Argentina. She provides advisory services to pharmaceutical companies. She is also in charge of the Personal Data Protection Department and handles consultations regarding international transfers of data and registrations with the Argentine Personal Data Registry. She advises local and foreign companies on the drafting of international data transfer contracts, clauses to be included in master agreements, etc. María Luján also leads the Medical & Pharmaceutical Law and the Clinical Investigation Practices, providing advice to laboratories and pharmaceutical companies. She has experience in the review, drafting and adjustment of protocols, informed consents and agreements among health professionals, ethics committees and laboratories.



Memberships

María Luján is a member of the Buenos Aires City Bar Association and the Quilmes District Bar Association. She is registered to act before the Federal Courts of the Argentine Provinces.

Fernández, María Fabiana

Bio

Fabiana graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is a member of the Intellectual Property, Fair Trade and Litigation & Arbitration Practice groups. She joined the Firm in 2011.


Education

She received her LL. B. from the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1989. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Negotiation and Strategy (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa) and took a graduate course in Trademark Law at the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a graduate course in Intellectual Property Contracts at the Universidad Austral.

Specialization

Fabiana specializes in Intellectual Property litigation and has extensive experience in the matter. She is in charge of the Litigation and Copyright areas of the IP Practice. In addition, she coordinates and manages global trademark portfolios for local and foreign clients in 70 countries; she is in charge of the IP transfers sector, coordinates and gives advice on domain name issues in Argentina and abroad, and advises foreign companies and leading advertising agencies on copyrights, Technology and Internet Law and IP contracts in general. In the Fair Trade area, Fabiana provides advice on fair trade conflicts to multinational companies doing business in Argentina.

Academic Activities

For more than 20 years, Fabiana has been a professor of Intellectual Property Law at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) and a visiting professor of the Master’s Degree Program in Business Law (MADE) at said University. She was a professor in the graduate course on Copyrights at the Universidad del Salvador (USAL). In 2002, she lectured at the Conference of the Argentine Multimedia Association about “Liability of Internet Providers”, and was a speaker at the Orientation Course on Trademarks and Trade Names for candidates for the Registry of Intellectual Property Agents given at the Trademarks Office of the Argentine Institute of Intellectual Property. She has participated in several intellectual property seminars and congresses both in Argentina and abroad.

Fabiana is a member of the Buenos Aires City Bar Association, the Inter-American Industrial Property Association (ASIPI), the Argentine Industrial Property Agents Association (AAAPI), and the Copyrights Association (ASDIN). She is registered to act before the Federal Courts of the Argentine Provinces.

Fariña, Jimena

Bio

Jimena graduated from the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is a member of the Labor and Social Security Practice group. She joined the Firm in 2012.


Education

She received her LL.B. from the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2006. She also took a graduate course in Business Law from the Universidad de Palermo (2014).

Specialization

Jimena specializes in Labor Law and is responsible for handling the daily litigation issues of the Firm’s clients in connection with individual and collective labor relations. Jimena focuses on providing efficient resolution advice aimed at promoting the client’s interests and businesses.

De Chiara, Andrea T.

Bio

Andrea graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, with a specialization in Business Law. She is a member of the Litigation and Arbitration Practice group. She joined the Firm in 2002.


Education

She received her LL. B. from the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1992. She also has a Master’s Degree in Business Law from the School of Law of the Universidad Austral (Argentina, 1998). Andrea has attended several congresses and seminars on civil and commercial proceedings, arbitration, computerization of legal proceedings, class actions, damages, consumer protection and contract law.

Specialization

In the Litigation and Arbitration practice, Andrea is responsible for pursuing complex commercial lawsuits, arbitration proceedings, class actions and civil lawsuits. She is in charge of supervising the pursuit of the proceedings before Consumer Protection and Fair Trade agencies as well as other public authorities. She is also involved in the provision of advisory services to businesses and the drafting of contracts.

Curcio, Noelia

Bio

Noelia graduated from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. She is a member of the Corporate Law Practice group. She joined the Firm in 2015.


Education

She received her LL.B. from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in 2008. She also participated in the 3rd Argentine Conference on Pharmaceutical Medicine and in the National Conference on Pharmacological Clinical Research.

 

Specialization

In the Corporate Law area, Noelia is part of a team of lawyers entirely devoted to providing advice to local entities and multinational companies doing business in Argentina. She provides advice to pharmaceutical companies on issues related to Clinical Research. She also has experience in the review, drafting and adjustment of framework contracts between laboratories and Contract Research Organizations (CROs), informed consents, tripartite and bipartite contracts between laboratories and health professionals for all Latin America.
